£160 per night for Scout and Guide groups and £275 for all other groups
Surrounded by some of the highest mountains in Snowdonia National Park, Yr Hafod is the ideal base to explore this stunning area of North Wales. Our indoor hostel is a beautiful stone building which stands at the head of the Nant Ffrancon Valley, and the centre offers stunning views of the mountains. Sleeping up to 32 people across four rooms, the hostel also features a carpeted lounge area to relax in after a busy day trekking in the mountains. The hostel contains two washroom areas with toilets and showers, a large kitchen and dining room. The hostel also features central heating, a drying room for wet clothes, a secure covered foyer with hooks for hanging wet waterproofs and racks for boots. There is also a pay phone.
Yr-Hafod has good road access and parking for up to 10 vehicles.
Camping is not available at Yr Hafod

17-19 Nov - General hillwalking courses
1-3 Dec - 1st Aid
Mountain Leader Award (MLA) courses require attendance on all three weekends for training and both weekends for assessment. The final assessment weekend is an extra day starting on Thursday night.
27-29 Oct - Explorer weekend
In addition to our Adult training courses we run courses specifically for Explorers. These can be designed to suit your requirements (where possible and weather dependant). We are now also able to run Mountain Training accredited Hill Skills and Mountain Skills; courses for Explorer Scouts. These are nationally recognised course that require pre-registration with Mountain Training before the attendance. Please inquire for more details if you are interested.
